Responsibilities / main tasks

Your tasks.

  • In this role, you will be strategically responsible for the raw materials product groups. You will also support the shareholder companies, initiate specialist groups for your category and coordinate cooperation with suppliers, including the following tasks:
    • Development and implementation of the procurement strategy for your product group
    • Conducting negotiations with the aim of concluding framework agreements for the various raw materials from which the companies can draw
    • Networking with the operational procurement functions and product group managers of the shareholders and advising the companies
    • Establishment and management of commodity-specific specialist groups at shareholder level
    • Ensuring the availability of goods through targeted, proactive supplier management and the drafting of corresponding contracts
    • Coordination of complaints management
    • Sourcing, selection, qualification and development of new suppliers worldwide
    • Continuous monitoring and analysis of procurement markets
Qualifications / Requirements

  • The focus is on the relevant professional experience. Very different educational backgrounds are conceivable, from a business administration or commercial perspective or from the food sector or agriculture, for example.
  • Several years of experience in the function of strategic purchasing for natural raw materials in international procurement markets, preferably in the field of food raw materials
  • Knowledge of the markets for natural raw materials
  • Extensive experience in conducting purchasing negotiations
  • Profound know-how in procurement (identification of suitable suppliers, selection, qualification, auditing and development of suppliers)
  • Experience at international level (suppliers and "customers")
  • Good English skills and IT affinity
  • Team-oriented, communicative and assertive personality with a professional demeanor
  • Smart generalist who keeps an eye on the big picture and can also think "out-of-the-box" from time to time
  • Willingness to shape and assume responsibility
